Thanks for the insight. I'll pass it along to the powers that be. We're in NY.

Morty,
I am a Business Relations Executive with the Better Business Bureau.
Which state are you from?
Getting your business accredited is the best thing that you can do for your company. I can relate story after story of how being BBB accredited has been very beneficial to businesses and the the business community as a whole not mention the trust it engenders with the public as we seek to protect their dollars and yours.
We don't publish the information such as accreditation fees for the reason they can vary from Bureau to Bureau and every business is different depending on several factors. It would be more confusing then helpful. Your local BRE should be able to ask a few questions, explain the benefits and tell you what your accreditation fee should be.

Thanks for the insight. I'm looking into getting BBB certification. But I was disturbed by not being able to find any clear information on the fees or membership dues on their site. When I tried calling, I got snarled in their voicemail. I sent two emails--yesterday and today. Still no answer.

And this is supposed to engender trust?
